Japanese fashion brand AURALEE has continued its successful partnership with New Balance, and this week, they’re ready to drop a new sneaker collaboration. The latest release comes in the form of the 475 model, a retro runner that’s making a comeback this year in two stylish colorways.
Originally introduced in the 1980s, the New Balance 475 was designed as a durable trail runner. For its return, the model is expected to shift toward a lifestyle sneaker, following in the footsteps of other retro releases. While the 475 was initially teased as part of an ALD collaboration, AURALEE’s take on the model offers a refined, minimalist aesthetic that aligns perfectly with the Japanese label’s design philosophy.
AURALEE and New Balance first teamed up in 2021, helping to elevate the 550 silhouette to new heights. Since then, they’ve released several successful collaborations, including limited editions of the 2002R, 1906R, and RC30. Now, the 475 joins their growing list of collaborations, arriving in two distinct color options. One features a muted grey mesh upper with brown, grey, and brick red suede and nubuck overlays, while the second pair sports a more vibrant look with a green-tinted mesh and overlays, balanced with shades of grey for a sleek finish.
