adidas Originals is set to introduce a bold new addition to their lineup this May with the debut of the Adizero Goukana. This innovative silhouette draws inspiration from the brand’s rich history of performance running shoes, bringing a fresh twist to their classic designs. The Goukana will make its first appearance in a striking yellow colorway, launching this summer.
The Adizero line has been a focal point for adidas in recent years, with the brand pushing to deliver the lightest and fastest footwear possible. The original Adizero, which has evolved into the now-famous Adios model, made a historic debut in 2008 when Haile Gebrselassie wore it during the Berlin Marathon, setting a world record with a time of 2:03:59. After years of anticipation, the shoe was finally made available to the public in 2024 through a collaboration with Wales Bonner.
The upcoming Adizero Goukana honors this legacy, offering a design that blends elements of the iconic original with a modern twist. The model features a similar streamlined shape and midsole design to the early Adizero shoes, with a vibrant yellow, silver, and black color palette. Crafted from a mix of mesh, suede, and synthetic materials, the Goukana boasts a chunky yet smooth midsole, which incorporates LightStrike cushioning foam for added comfort and support. The yellow version will be available in June 2025, with additional red and blue styles following soon after.
While adidas Originals has yet to officially announce the full launch details, the first release of the Adizero Goukana will take place on May 10th, 2025, exclusively through Undefeated. A wider global release is expected to follow in June 2025, with pairs available through adidas and select retailers.
Stay tuned for further updates on the Adizero Goukana, as this new addition to the adidas Originals lineup is set to make a major impact in the sneaker world.
