As Black History Month approaches, Nike is preparing a series of exclusive sneaker releases to celebrate the occasion. One of the most anticipated drops is the “Modern Cowboy” SB Dunk Low, which is rumored to be part of the brand’s special collection for BHM.

Nike’s approach to their Black History Month releases has become increasingly detailed, with a focus on storytelling and cultural significance. While we await official confirmation, early images of the shoe’s insoles, shared by @xcsnkr, offer a glimpse into the inspiration behind the design. The insole artwork features a Wild West scene with a cowboy and cattle, reflecting the theme of the shoe, which incorporates cowboy boot-inspired elements around the heel. The shoe’s base color, “Tourmaline” green, is named after the gemstone that was widely popular during California’s Wild West era.

The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro BHM is expected to drop in May 2025, with a retail price of $135. This special-edition sneaker will likely be available on Nike’s SNKRS app, as well as through select skate shops.
