Nike continues to bring back the classic Air Zoom Spiridon, and the latest release adds a fresh burst of color to the mix. After a series of retro releases, the “Barely Volt” edition is set to hit shelves this month, bringing a vibrant update to the iconic 1997 runner.
The return of the Air Zoom Spiridon has been one of the standout moments in Nike’s recent lineup, especially with the highly anticipated “Sport Red” colorway dropping in December 2024. Following that release, the Spiridon has been updated with a few more retro styles. Now, Nike is ready to launch a bold new version of the shoe, featuring a lively color palette that stands out from the more subdued recent releases.
This “Barely Volt” iteration features a bright green base with matching inner lining, covered by a sleek grey mesh overlay. A black ballistic mudguard adds some contrast, while the Hot Punch red Swooshes and tongue pieces inject a pop of color. The neon blue pull tabs at the heels finish off the look, giving this retro-inspired runner a modern twist.
Scheduled for release on May 8th, 2025, the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon “Barely Volt” will retail for $160. Expect to find it on SNKRS and through select retailers.
