Nike’s ACG team continues to roll out fresh takes on its classic outdoor silhouettes, and the Rufus mule is the latest to get a modern update. Originally revived last year, the Rufus has been steadily hitting shelves in new colorways, with the “Green Gradient” edition set to drop in Fall 2025.
The Rufus, a mule-style slipper first released in 2001, made its return in 2024 as part of Nike ACG’s effort to reintroduce archival models. It quickly became a hit for its versatile blend of casual comfort and outdoor functionality, ideal for the warmer months. The ACG team has been experimenting with different colors and materials, and the “Green Gradient” is one of the standout versions coming later this year.
The new “Green Gradient” style features a denim construction, with a seamless piece of fabric forming the entire upper. The gradient effect begins with a neon green at the toe, gradually transitioning into a deeper Kelly green at the midfoot, and finishing with a grey hue wrapping around the heels. The shoe sits atop a black midsole, with a pop of Volt on the outsole for added traction.
The Nike ACG Rufus “Green Gradient” is expected to release in Fall 2025. Priced at $110, the slip-on mule will be available through Nike and select retailers.
