Jordan Brand continues to celebrate basketball culture in unique ways, and this time, they’re paying tribute to one of Beijing’s most iconic streetball locations. In Summer 2025, the brand will release a special edition of the Air Jordan 13 Low in honor of the Dongdan basketball courts, the epicenter of street basketball in Beijing.
Basketball’s popularity in China has surged in the last two decades, making it a major hub for sneaker culture as well. Jordan Brand has consistently celebrated this connection with special releases tied to Chinese culture, including their annual Zodiac-themed collections. Now, the brand is focusing on Beijing’s Dongdan courts, which have become a legendary spot for street basketball.
Dongdan, a streetball hotspot in Beijing, is comparable to New York’s famed Rucker Park, attracting players and fans from around the globe. The courts are known for their pickup games and tournaments, and in honor of this basketball mecca, Jordan is releasing a commemorative Air Jordan 13 Low. While images of the shoe have yet to be revealed, the design features a neutral “Oatmeal” off-white upper, complemented by off-noir and beige tones for a subtle yet stylish finish.
