Willy Chavarria’s fashion label has gained significant traction in recent years, particularly after his departure from Calvin Klein. This week, he’s dropping a new collaboration with adidas, showcasing two sleek versions of the iconic Jabbar Low in a luxurious new Dress edition.
Chavarria, a Southern California native, has built a reputation for blending high fashion with streetwear influences. He’s no stranger to the fashion industry, having worked for Ralph Lauren and serving as Vice President of Design at Calvin Klein. In addition to his own brand, Chavarria is also the creative force behind Palmer Trading Company, a menswear label based in New York and exclusively sold in Japan.
Chavarria’s partnership with adidas has resulted in a series of unique footwear releases that fuse his vision with adidas’ sporty edge. This upcoming collection, which drops tomorrow, not only includes apparel but also two distinct iterations of the Jabbar Low, a retro basketball model originally launched in 1978. Chavarria’s reinterpretation of the shoe introduces a more refined, upscale version, crafted from premium leather. The Dress edition features two colorways: all-black and a white version with cream accents, offering a sophisticated take on the classic silhouette.
The Willy Chavarria x adidas Jabbar Dress pack will be available exclusively through the adidas Confirmed app, starting on May 8th, 2025. Each pair is priced at $250, and alongside the sneakers, an apparel collection will also be part of the release.
This collaboration highlights Chavarria’s unique approach to merging fashion and performance, and sneakerheads are eager to see how his elevated take on the Jabbar Low will be received.
