Korean streetwear brand thisisneverthat has built a strong collaboration history with New Balance since their partnership began in 2019, consistently releasing one sneaker each year. This week, we’re getting an early preview of their second release of 2025, the 991v2 in a sleek grey colorway.
Founded in 2010 by Nadan Cho, Jonkyu Choi, and Inwook Park, thisisneverthat was created to fuse global fashion influences with Korean style, producing timeless designs with wide-ranging appeal. Their collaboration with New Balance kicked off in 2019, helping to elevate the brand and expand its global reach. Since then, this partnership has been a staple in the sneaker world, with at least one drop each year.
Earlier this year, thisisneverthat teamed up with New Balance for a red and white edition of the 1000 runner. Now, just a few months later, they’re back with another release, this time featuring the 991v2. The Made in UK model gets a tonal grey makeover, with a warm grey mesh base and cool grey leather and suede overlays. The darker shades of grey on the tongue and N logos add depth to the overall design, creating a clean yet dynamic look.
