Derrick Rose is adding his personal touch to the Fear of God Athletics x adidas Basketball II sneaker. This week, the NBA star provided us with a first look at his design when he wore the shoes while attending a Chicago White Sox game, throwing out the first pitch.
The collaboration between Fear of God Athletics and adidas has been expanding this year, with new colorways for their flagship Basketball II model. This silhouette, which has already gained attention, is part of a larger collection that also includes a trainer model, lifestyle shoes, and athletic apparel. Jerry Lorenzo, the creative force behind Fear of God, has long been connected to the NBA, and this year, Derrick Rose is getting the chance to create his own version of the Basketball II.
The pair Derrick Rose wore features a low-top design with a cement grey mesh upper and black taped overlays. The signature crepe midsole remains, complemented by red accents on the laces and heel counter branding, giving the sneaker a bold new look.
