Los Angeles-based streetwear brand Brain Dead, founded by Kyle Ng, continues to strengthen its partnership with adidas. This week, the brand gave a sneak peek into their upcoming Fall 2025 footwear collection, which will include an exciting mix of styles across different athletic categories.
Brain Dead has gained a reputation for its bold and eclectic approach to fashion. Under the creative direction of Kyle Ng, the brand draws inspiration from a wide range of sources, often exploring niche interests such as sports and obscure hobbies. Some of their recent standout projects include a collaboration with Dungeons & Dragons, a fragrance with actor Jeff Goldblum, a set of adidas-branded bowling shoes, and overseeing Oakley’s return to the footwear scene.
This week’s teaser hints at several new models that will be part of Brain Dead’s latest venture with adidas. First, the Barricade 13, a tennis shoe designed for performance, looks set to build on the brand’s recent lifestyle tennis releases like the Forest Hills. Brain Dead has also shown off two versions of the Taekwondo model, a slim, sleek sneaker that’s been gaining traction through collaborations. One of the designs features a unique twist with a tongue flap reminiscent of the iconic Micropacer. The ClimaCool 2, a 2003 running shoe known for its breathable mesh design, will also make an appearance. Rounding out the collection is the Japan model in its boxing boot form, complete with a high collar and flame-themed detailing on the sides.
While the exact release dates are still under wraps, fans can expect these new footwear styles to drop in the Fall of 2025. The collection, which spans tennis, running, and boxing shoes, will likely be available through both Brain Dead and adidas, as well as select retailers.
Stay tuned for more details on this exciting collaboration as the release date approaches.
